The Atlantic Coast (FL) Young Marines tell all of our Young Marine families were affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hur- ricane Irma that you are all in our prayers. Living in Florida, we know how destructive hurricanes can be. They can cost a family so much, like the loss of your personal belongings, your home, your pets, your pictures, and most importantly, the lives of people you know and love. As hard as it is to lose belongings that mean a lot to you, or that have so many special memories, it is not harder than losing your life. Even though we don’t personally know every person in every unit as Young Marines we are family. It is very hard to hear that a part of your family may be in a dangerous situation. We pray for all of our Young Marines, their families and friends. We pray that you are all safe and that life be back to normal very soon.- Submitted by YM/Cpl Michael Manley, Atlantic Coast (FL) Young Marines Florida Unit’s Message To YM Families Affected by Hurricanes By YM/PFC Megan Goad Cross Roads (TX) The Cross Roads (TX) Young Marines spent a few days at our local Howard County Fair. We set up a booth for our unit, selling Country Meats Beef Sticks and spreading the word about Red Ribbon Week and Drug Demand Reduction education. Each Young Ma- rine took shifts to explain our program, sell our fun- draising items and make new contacts and friends.
